Responsibilities: Doug is responsible for securing new client relationships and maintaining existing clients. His philosophy in working with his clients is to treat their plans and resources as his own. Doug has excelled in producing results for his clients by providing financially creative solutions, while maintaining or improving the quality of their benefit plans. He is a recognized specialist in self-funding, consumer driven healthcare, underwriting, and financial analysis. Within Burnham, Doug not only helps provide firm leadership, but he is also the industry lead for Hospitality and Healthcare.

Notable Quality/Achievement in the Benefits Industry/Designations: Doug is a designated Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP). He contributed articles to several trade industry publications, including California Broker, World at Work, Consumer Driven Healthcare, and quoted in the Orange County Business Journal on HSA plans. Doug was a panelist at SunWest Economic forum in 2013, World at Work Orlando in 2012, and a speaker for Burnham webinars. Doug is currently on the Board of Advisors for the University of Oregon College of Arts and Sciences.
Personal Interests: Doug enjoys the outdoors and staying active, including running, biking, golf, reading, his church, and, of course, spending time with two daughters and son. One of his philanthropic passions is helping others who are less fortunate and economically disadvantaged.Back
