IRVINE, CA (Jun. 13, 2012) – Burnham Benefits Insurance Services, one of the largest employee benefits brokerages in Southern California and one of the few to specialize solely in strategic employee benefits consulting and brokerage services, invites Southern California businesses to submit data for inclusion in its seventh annual benchmarking “Southern California Mid-Market Employee Benefits Survey,” which allows companies to measure their own employee benefits programs against other businesses locally and nationally.
Burnham Benefits will present the results at 3:30 p.m. on June 19 at the Hyatt Regency, Irvine, followed by a peer networking reception at 5:00 p.m. The benchmarking data gives participating companies valuable context for benefit-program decision-making. Last year’s survey compiled data from more than 250 Southern California organizations regarding their employee benefits plans, cost containment and issues related to healthcare compliance.
“Our extremely popular annual survey allows businesses to ensure that they’re not making important decisions in a bubble,” says Kristen Allison, president of Burnham Benefits Insurance Services and a 30-year veteran of the employee benefits industry. “Every business in the survey is operating under similar conditions within the region’s economy and competing for employees in a particular market, so the information is specific to Southern California businesses. It’s a valuable tool for evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of each business’ current benefits program.”
The information compiled in the survey can help companies on a national level answer important questions concerning the manner in which similar companies are managing healthcare reform compliance, what strategies they’ve used to succeed in controlling costs, and how their employee benefits programs and wellness initiatives compare with similar-sized employers. HR Executives, company owners, and CFOs can access side-by-side comparisons of contributions by size and industry, top cost-containment strategies, and employer data with 25th, median and 75th percentiles.
Last year’s results were presented in a well-received seminar and breakfast mixer. This year, Burnham Benefits has expanded its presentation to include a post-event cocktail mixer that will allow survey participants to further share information and network with fellow business executives throughout Southern California.
