Award-winning Employee Benefits Brokerage Continues Central Coast Expansion with Seasoned New Hire

IRVINE, CA (March 14, 2016) — Burnham Benefits Insurance Services—one of California's most dynamic employee benefits brokerage firms—today announced the appointment of new senior account manager Mary Valdivieso, whose 16 years of experience working in the employee benefits industry will be an invaluable asset to clients and enhance the company’s delivery in the Central Coast.

“We have been focused on expanding our reach and depth in the Central Coast region, and Mary is the perfect addition to our Central Coast office,” says Kristen Allison, president and CEO of Burnham Benefits. “Not only does she know how to successfully advocate and problem solve for clients, but she is deeply committed to serving her community—a quality that is so valuable when working with people.”

Prior to joining Burnham, Valdivieso spent 12 years at Scanlon & Associates as an account executive working in employee benefits and multi-employer trusts and public entities. In 2004, Northridge Insurance named her Employee of the Year. Valdivieso serves on the Ventura County PIHRA board as the membership chair and is also highly active in her community, volunteering at Beyond Sunday, a community outreach program that serves the needy, and Many Meals, an organization that provides meals for the hungry.

“Burnham is one of the largest employee benefits brokerages in the state, but what really sets the company apart is how much it values its clients and its community focus,” says Valdivieso. “I am thrilled to join the Burnham team and support its growth in the Central Coast region.”
